Step 1
Loosen (but don’t remove) the license plate screws 2-3 turns.

Step 2
Slide the side trim in from the sides between the license plate and the plate mount.
Pro tip: For plate mounts in the high position, orient the side trim with the thicker part towards the top of the plate to follow the profile of the bumper. For other height positions, use what looks best to you. -

Step 3
Repeat on the other side, making sure both trim pieces are slid fully in place.

Step 4
Tighten the license plate screws.
