How to Install the SnapPlate on 2024-2025 Blazer EV

Installation

  • Close-up of a person using a screwdriver to install or remove a license plate on a vehicle.

    Step 1

Install your license plate using four of the included T25 torx security screws.

  • Close-up of a 3D-printed black mechanical component with labeled sections. An orange arrow points to a section labeled OPEN.

    Step 2

On the right side, push and hold the OPEN button.

  • A close-up of a black plastic snap plate with an arrow pointing down to the center, highlighting the interlocking mechanism.

    Step 3

Align the center opening in the SnapPlate with the center vertical bar on the grille and push it into the bumper.

  • Close-up of a black 3D-printed object with an arrow pointing to a movable component. The word LOOP is engraved on the component.

    Step 4

On the left side, push the CLOSE button until it is flush with the body of the SnapPlate.

Important! If the SnapPlate is not fully closed, the magnets are not fully engaged and it may fall off while driving.

If you find that the CLOSE button is hard to push, loosen the adjustment screws following the Grille Depth Adjustment instructions. 👆

  • Close-up of a black, 3D-printed object with a labeled OPEN section in an orange circle. Two screws visible, attached to a structure.

    Step 5

Double-check that OPEN button is flush with the SnapPlate body to ensure that the SnapPlate is securely attached.

Important! If you can't securely attach the SnapPlate or it's fully attached, but feels loose on the grille, adjust the fit using the Grille Depth Adjustment instructions. 👆

  • A screwdriver is being used to tighten a screw on a black plastic 3D-printed part, highlighting the assembly process.

    Step 6 (Optional)

To prevent the SnapPlate from being removed, use the T25 security screwdriver to tighten the anti-theft security screw on the right side.

Note: If you find that the security screw is moving the OPEN button, hold the CLOSE button in place while tightening the screw.

Note: When removing the SnapPlate, the anti-theft security screw does not need to be fully removed. Just loosen it until it is flush with the body.

Grille Depth Adjustment

  • SnapPlate T10/T25 Screwdriver

    Step 1

If it's not already in place, remove the T10/T25 screwdriver from the handle and install it with the smaller T10 bit facing out.

  • A black license plate frame with placeholders and two round orange highlights marking specific points near the center.

    Step 2

The SnapPlate has two grille depth adjustment screws.

To loosen the fit on the grille, go to Step 3.

To tighten the fit on the grille, go to Step 4.

  • A screwdriver adjusting a black plastic slide mechanism with arrows indicating the sliding direction.

    Step 3 (Loosen)

Turn both screws counter-clockwise (lefty loosey) 1/2 turn to loosen the fit by 0.25mm.

Repeat up to four times (two full turns) as needed.

Important! Contact support before proceeding past two full turns. There may be another issue that needs to be resolved.

  • Close-up of a screwdriver adjusting a 3D-printed calibration tool with two slots and arrows indicating direction on a printer alignment mechanism.

    Step 4 (Tighten)

Turn both screws clockwise (righty tighty) 1/2 turn to tighten the fit by 0.25mm.

Repeat as needed, but take care not to overtighten and strip the screws.
