Frequently Asked Questions

Does the steering wheel block the phone screen?

It varies depending on your phone, choice of mount, body height, and seat position adjustments.

The universal clamp and magnet mounts have height adjustment settings that can get phones into the highest position typically with no or very little steering wheel obstruction.

The Qi2/MagSafe wireless charger sits lower and you'll likely have some obstruction on the lower left corner of the screen.

Which size ball mount do I need?

That depends on which size your phone mount accepts.

17mm is most common for phone mounts that attach directly to a ball mount.

25mm is most common for accessories that use an adjustable arm mount like RAM and Arkon. They're also called 1" or B-size.

20mm and 22mm are far less common, but some accessories use it.

What is the best mount for my phone?

That depends on your phone, case, and your priorities.

Personally, we like magnet mounts because they're quick and easy to use. If your phone and case support MagSafe, Qi, or Qi2 charging, we recommend the Qi2 charger bundle.

If your phone and case support MagSafe, but you don't care about charging or are fine using a cable on occasion, go for the magnet mount.

If your phone doesn't support MagSafe or you don't want to use a MagSafe-compatible case, the universal clamp mount has you covered.

Does the anchor damage the dashboard or screen?

We've taken great care to avoid any damage to the vehicle from anything touching or rubbing and we don't use drills, screws, or adhesives to attach to the back of the screen.

The back of the screen where we attach is made from strong metal, so there's no risk of damage to the screen.

Can I order a different combination of ball mount size and anchor?

Absolutely! Just order the arm or non-arm anchor and your choice of ball mount individually from our replacement parts catalog.

Best phone holder/charger option in the market

I've been looking for a good phone holder and charger for my Rivian R1S. I found this advertised by the owner on the Rivian Forums. I think it's the best option and they also provide a simple and effective install video. I've been using it daily since the install and it works flawlessly.
They even gave me my Rivian Forum discount when I forgot to add it during the purchase. What a team, what a company. I'll be looking out for more products from this team.

Almost there.

This a personal preference, but I need it to be about two inches taller and a half too 3/4 of inch to the left. But this is the best one I have bought so far.

Shakes a lot with iPhone 16 Pro

Installation was a bit difficult until I realized that the screw spreads apart the pieces to hold the mount in place. Unfortunately, I found it totally unusable due to how much the phone vibrates. I have a 2025 R1T.

Sturdy phone holder

This is a sturdy phone holder. I just purchased the arm with the 17mm ball and it mounts to the back of the monitor securely, no wobble. The position of the ball is really good as well, I have a charger that mounts directly on the ball, no extention arm, and my sight line to the phone is above average.

Exactly as described, but not sure how I like it yet.

Installation was easy, and took advantage of existing elements of the vehicle for a solid and sleek mount. Really impressed with the thoughtful design. In use though with the charger and my phone on the arm it's still bouncier than I would like and I find the flashes reflecting off the phone screen distracting. It's position is also such that I can't find an angle where where my phone (OnePlus 13) is at a good angle and isn't mostly obscured by the wheel and doesn't interfere with the drive selector stalk. I've found a position that's "OK", but not great, and we'll see how it goes. I think it would be better with a smaller phone, or with a phone where the magsafe ring were positioned different. Seems like if it were a little taller it would work better for me.
