Why would you want to remove a license plate?

Some customers live in areas where it's not always enforced and they prefer the look without, but many customers simply want to permanently mount their license plate without having to use screws or adhesives.

Are SnapPlates car wash safe?

Touchless car washes are generally ok, but a touch wash will grab and pull until something breaks and we don't want that to be the plastic grille on your vehicle.

If touch washes are your priority and you don't want to remove the SnapPlate for it, the license plate mount that came with your vehicle is the best option for you.

If SnapPlate is easy to remove, isn't it easy to steal?

Most license plates are easy to steal when they're installed with simple screws that are easy and quick to remove with power tools.

SnapPlates come with anti-theft security screws to attach the license plate to the SnapPlate and, optionally, to secure the SnapPlate to the vehicle. It can be quick and easy to remove, but only if you want it to be.

Why are SnapPlates made from plastic instead of metal?

SnapPlates attach to the plastic bumper or grille on vehicles. In a worst-case scenario where something pushes or pulls hard enough on the license plate to break something, we'd rather it be the SnapPlate than your vehicle since it's far less expensive and inconvenient to repair.

Impressed but instruction can be improved

Very easy to order and quick shipment. What impressed me the most is the packaging it came in and the tool kit you get (in its own nice felt pouch). I think the instructions online could be improved (eg: showing a picture of the vehicle and when to clamp it). For my Lyriq there were 2 possible places to put on the grill but only one worked. I wish the instructions had told me which one to use first. Also, it wasn't clear that the plate holder already came with screws, and I ended up ordering extra screws for no reason. Otherwise, very happy with the process and product.

Works great

Only criticism is the instructions need to emphasis you need to push the setting/ release things to make sure it grips. At first I thought is was too loose but when you push those handle this together it works great.
